Boulder 4/20
This event has been taking place for several years and shows several things.
1. People can gather in large numbers and peacefully smoke marijuana.
2. Despite laws against the production, possession, distribution and use of the drug, it is still very widely embraced by people of all walks of life. (even professors!)
3. People want change, a logical and legitimate though controversial change that would benefit both the civilians and the government alike.
Marijuana, unlike some legal prescription drugs or alcohol allows the user to relax.
Forex Expert Advisors
I've just recently started letting an Expert Advisor trade my MetaTrader 4, practice account. An Expert Advisor is essentially a "Forex Robot" that makes trades (hopefully profitable ones) on your account for you. These Expert Advisors are really programs or Algorithms written in MQL4, a programming language that is included in the MetaTrader 4 software
Though I've only had it running on this account one day, i am up about 3 percent. Not bad for a single day, though way too early to determine anything with out speculating. But then again, thats exactly what I do when i trade Forex, so im gonna go ahead and speculatively say that this will eventually be a profitably endeavor.
Farts
Coming from sea level to about 5,300 feet in Colorado, I experienced first hand the glory of expanded gastrointestinal gas. At higher altitudes, due to the decrease in air pressure, the gas in your stomach actually expands in volume. This increase leads to the increase in the expulsion of the gas which could, in extreme cases, kill small animals or even children! Beware. Ask my Uncle John about this one.
About Me
I figured my first post ought to give you an idea of who I am. My name is Mike Travis, I’m an engineering student at the University of Colorado at Boulder. My original declared major was Engineering Physics, which i hastily changed once i realized my career prospects would be limited with such a narrow degree. I’m currently a Mechanical Engineering major, however, there’s a good chance that wont last either.
I also take business classes and I am fascinated by financial markets. I have been trading stocks for a couple of years (nothing too serious) and have just recently gained an interest in the Foreign Exchange Market. This is basically the speculative buying and selling of foreign currency for profits.
I have some knowledge of web design and have been programming computers for several years (C++, Java, Basic, Visual Basic, Matlab, MathCad, etc.). I am also proficient in AutoCad and Solidworks Computer Aided Design Programs.
When I’m not trying to impress people with the information listed above, i enjoy skiing, swimming, and live music.
